Capella Scholarship for Associates
Capella University is pleased to extend two $2,500 merit-based scholarships to Walmart Associates who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Embody the Walmart value of servant leadership.
- Are current Capella learners or are starting a Capella program by Oct. 11, 2010.
- Meet Capella University admission requirements.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (University Policy 3.01.04).
Application instructions
Complete the following steps:
- Review the above scholarship criteria.
- Complete the Capella University online admission application. If you are a current learner or have already applied to Capella University, skip this step.
- Submit the Online Scholarship Application including your responses to 5 essay questions. Each answer must be 250-500 words.
Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Deadline
The scholarship application deadline is Sept. 13, 2010, 5:00 p.m. Central time. Recipients and all other applicants will be notified in early Oct., 2010.
Scholarship details
- The Capella Scholarship Committee will select the scholarship recipients based on eligibility requirements.
- Scholarship can be applied to an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree program.
- Recipients will be chosen based on merit and on the content, clarity, and writing of their responses to the 5 essay questions on the scholarship application.
- The $2,500 award will be distributed evenly over 4 quarters ($625 per quarter). The award will be applied to your Capella account after the second week of each quarter.
- In the event the recipient does not remain continuously enrolled, scholarship funds for the quarter(s) missed will be forfeited. Also, if the recipient does not remain enrolled through the first 2 weeks of the quarter, the award for the quarter will be forfeited.
- Recipients who do not use the full $2,500 scholarship will not be eligible for a cash disbursement or any other compensation equal to the value of the scholarship award.
- The scholarship award may decrease the amount of financial aid funds available to the recipient.
