Today the Gates Foundation is hosting a three-part online program called a JAM to learn more about the challenges and opportunities offered by predictive analytics to boost college student persistence, progress, and completion. The diverse conversation is aimed at surfacing compelling ideas and strategies for harnessing data.
Capella’s Chief Academic Officer, Deborah Bushway, and Director of Academic Quality Analytics and Accreditation, Kim Pearce, are serving as facilitators in the simultaneous moderated discussion threads.
Using predictive analytics will help identify student risk factors to drive personalized interventions and develop models to predict the best timing of intervention to improve student learning and performance. Capella being a part of this high-value exchange is just another way we are working to be at the forefront of college completion.
