Jason Ward, EdD

Adjunct Faculty

Spanish/ESL teacher with expertise in Second Language Acquisition

Dr. Ward joined Capella in 2004 as an adjunct instructor for the School of Education. In addition to his work at Capella, Dr. Ward is also a Spanish/ESL teacher at Willow Canyon High School in Arizona, and an adjunct faculty member for Rio Salado Community College. He has more than 15 years of experience teaching Spanish at the high school level.

  • Doctor of Education in Child and Youth Studies, Nova Southeastern University
Career Highlights
  • Traveled to Europe and Asia to research strategies for educating English Language Learners (ELLs)
  • Consulted with the Ministry of Education in Japan and Mexico in the areas of curriculum development for English Language Learning Programs
