Prepare for Your Licensure

Once you have determined which degree program meets the educational requirements of the license you want to obtain, you should:

Review and understand the additional requirements for licensure
Regularly review the state licensing requirements for changes that may occur
Network with professionals in the field
Join and become active in professional associations
Locate and secure a practicum and/or internship site (if required)
Understand the post-graduate fieldwork experience you will need to complete
Think about what will need to happen after you graduate in order to obtain a license
