Preparing for College Algebra

Although there is not an official prerequisite for the MAT1050—College Algebra course, it is recommended that learners have a basic understanding of these mathematical concepts:

  • Adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying fractions.
  • Adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying negative numbers.
  • Adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying decimals.
  • Order of operations.
