MS Master of Science in Psychology Educational Psychology specialization
Nearly all of Capella's faculty from the Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Sciences have a doctoral degree and many work as licensed practitioners, school psychologists, school counselors, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, alcohol and drug abuse counselors, registered play therapy supervisors, psychologists and social workers. Our instructors have expertise in child and adolescent development, and family and geriatric issues. They are also proficient in designing programs to meet state and national accreditation standards, and have experience consulting with privately held businesses with a focus on succession planning, organizational development, executive development, and coaching.

Curtis R. Brant, PhD
Curtis Brant serves as dean for Capella University's School of Psychology. Dr. Brant has worked at the university since 2005 and has served in a variety of roles including core faculty, research and colloquia chair, and assistant dean. His areas of expertise lie in research, program development, and assessment. Dr. Brant brings more than 15 years of experience teaching, presenting, and conducting research and has authored more than 30 scientific publications/presentations. His research has been featured on National Public Radio, PBS television, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and APA Monitor. Other professional activities have included consulting in the areas of strategic planning, market analysis, and decision making. Dr. Brant holds a PhD and an MA in Social Psychology from Bowling Green State University and a BA in Psychology from Kent State University.
Hilda R. Glazer, EdD
Hilda R. Glazer currently serves as faculty chair for the Educational Psychology specialization within Capella University's Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, having previously served as a core faculty member. Before joining Capella in 2004, Dr. Glazer held various administrative positions at Walden University, including dean of the School of Psychology, chair of the Division of Psychology, and director of the PhD in Professional Psychology program. She has also served as an associate professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Glazer is a licensed psychologist in Missouri and holds the Certificate for Professional Qualification in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. She is a licensed professional clinical supervising counselor in Ohio and a registered play therapy supervisor. Dr. Glazer earned both an EdD and EdM in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University, an MS in Counseling from the University of North Texas, and a BA in Psychology from Beaver College. She has published more than 50 refereed articles and book chapters, was co-editor of a book on psychosocial care of aging patients, and has presented on the topics of distance learning and children and grief at regional, national, and international conferences.
