Meet the IRB Committee and Staff!

Federal regulations have clear guidelines and requirements as to the composition of an institution's IRB. These regulations dictate that an IRB shall be sufficiently qualified through the experience and expertise of its members, and to ensure that it include members knowledgeable across a spectrum of institutional regulations, applicable laws, and vulnerable populations who may be included in research regularly reviewed by that IRB.

Capella University's IRB also faces the exacting challenge of considering research conducted in disparate communities across the United States, and around the world, and as such, to be sensitive to community attitudes, local considerations, and cultural factors.

In consideration of all the above, our IRB has been carefully composed, and our review of research is equally careful. View the current IRB Committee Roster.
