Office for Human Research Protection

The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) is a division of the United Sates Department of Health and Human Services. It provides leadership in the protection of the rights, welfare, and wellbeing of subjects involved in research conducted or supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. OHRP helps ensure this by providing clarification and guidance, developing educational programs and materials, maintaining regulatory oversight, and providing advice on ethical and regulatory issues in biomedical and behavioral research.

Capella University has an agreement with the OHRP stating that we will abide by the regulations of the Belmont Report and 45 CFR 46 when overseeing research conducted within Capella. Please visit the Office for Human Research Protection for more information, including policies and procedures.
