Capella is a leader in project management education, and is a Project Management Institute (PMI®) Registered Education Provider. Capella offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree specializations in project management with either a business foundation or a technical foundation. Additionally, Capella offers a graduate certificate in project management. The curriculum for our bachelor's and master's degree programs is built around A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), a globally recognized standard for managing projects in today's marketplace. Our doctoral degree program focuses on contemporary project management theories and practices and is designed for learners who are interested in helping to shape the future of project management through their research and work.

Benefits of Being a PMI® Registered Education Provider
As a Registered Education Provider, Capella has been approved by PMI to issue Professional Development Units (PDU) for approximately 20 project management courses. This means learners may pursue their degree program and fulfill PDU requirements at the same time, or use Capella's PDU courses to meet eligibility requirements to take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam.
Credit for Your PMP® Certification
Capella recognizes and respects the knowledge and skills you already have as a project management professional, which is why we offer a competency-based prior learning assessment process that recognizes the significant skills involved in PMP certification. Your PMP certification can help you earn credit toward specific bachelor's and master's project management courses.
