Ph.D. on-line

September 3, 2011Elizabeth My learning experiences at Capella have been very positive. My degree program has been changed to Advanced Studies in Human Behavior from Counseling Studies. Regardless of the changes, the work is arduous, beneficial, and with some coursework left, comps, and the dissertation, I am benefiting financially already. I am almost 70--and don't plan on retiring, but using my doctorate. Support staff at CU are excellent and always helpful in assisting learners get through the maze of advanced education.

Excited!

February 12, 2011Chaniece I was recently enrolled in the Ph.D in counseling studies but have chosen to transfer into this program since I would like to teach on the higher education level and am pursuing administrative positions within my current counseling practice. I am in the process of being licensed which my state allows me to do so on the master level so having a diverse Ph.D will allow me to teach or lead in other areas besides just counseling! I am so excited for this opportunity.

length of program

May 17, 2011Cassie I completed my Master's through Capella about one year ago. The program took me about three and a half years to complete with taking two classes per quarter. Can anyone tell me about how long the PhD program takes to complete?
