We offer three 10-week courses that cover the 3Ps of nursing:
These online courses cover content that’s essential to perform indirect patient care services at an advanced level; depending on your state requirements, you may also be able to use your experience to teach a nursing program.
Also, if you’re an RN but don’t already hold an MSN, the courses below can be directly transferred into certain MSN degree programs, making them a direct path to your advanced degree. Learners interested in transferring coursework should always check with their institution to verify their transfer acceptance policies.
MSN6035 Advanced Physical Assessment for Nurses ($425/quarter credit - 4 quarter credits)
This course builds on the health assessment skills you gained during the professional nurse’s basic educational program. Throughout the course, you’ll build your diagnostic reasoning skills in order to effectively assess individual health and wellness and to improve patient outcomes. Coursework will focus on comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and cultural assessment across the lifespan to gather specific data relative to common health problems.
MSN6007 Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology ($425/quarter credit - 4 quarter credits)
The Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology course covers aspects of body systems, age, and gender, experience that can be applied in any nursing specialization. You will evaluate and interpret changes in body functions that are indicative of illness and develop an evidence-based, tri-level treatment plan for a specific age group.
MSN6009 Advanced Pharmacology for the Nursing Professional ($425/quarter credit - 4 quarter credits)
Extend your health assessment skills from professional nurse’s basic educational program throughout the course. As you develop your diagnostic reasoning skills in order to assess individual health and wellness effectively, you’ll learn how to apply these skills to improve patient outcomes. Use comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and cultural assessment across a patient’s lifespan to gather specific data related to common health problems.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify with education institution(s) that these course(s) will fulfill transfer credit or admissions requirements into an advanced practice nursing program.
All three courses are offered individually, fully online. Get started—there’s no application fee when applying for an individual course.
*Nursing courses are available ONLY to those holding a completed undergraduate degree.
