$6,000 Scholarship
Capella University is pleased to announce an $6,000 scholarship opportunity for eligible employees and their immediate family members who enroll in an eligible Capella degree program in the GuidedPath learning format and meet the following eligibility requirements.

- Must meet Capella University admission requirements.
- Must be an eligible employee or immediate family member* of an eligible employee.
- Must be a new student enrolled in or accepted into an eligible program in the GuidedPath learning format at Capella University between [[[MONTH YEAR]]] and [[[MONTH YEAR]]]. Former students reapplying to the university are also eligible.
- Maintain good academic standing (3.01.04 Academic Standing) and good financial aid satisfactory academic progress (3.01.05 FASAP).
- Must pass your first course upon first attempt. Returning students must pass first course taken upon readmission to Capella.
- Must complete and submit the scholarship application form and provide proof of employment eligibility before 11:59 p.m. Central Time the day courses begin. **

- Submit the Capella University online admission application. If you have already applied to Capella, skip this step.
- Before you apply, be sure to read the scholarship details section to understand the disbursement schedule and any other considerations.

- To start your program on [[[January 9, February 6, March 6, April 10, May 8, June 5, July 10, August 7, September 11, October 9, November 6, or December 4, 2023]]], apply for the scholarship before courses begin.
*Immediate family members (children and spouse or domestic partner living in the same residence) as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, are eligible for the scholarship outlined in this Agreement.

- The scholarship can be applied only to an eligible program in the GuidedPath learning format.
- The $6,000 scholarship will be applied to your Capella account equally over six consecutive quarters ($1,000 per quarter) during the third week of each quarter.

- Recipients who do not remain enrolled through the first two weeks of the quarter will forfeit the award for that quarter.
- Recipients who change to an ineligible program, graduate, discontinue, or withdraw from Capella will have all future scholarship disbursements cancelled.
- In some circumstances, Capella's quarterly tuition charge may be lower than a quarterly scholarship disbursement. In other cases, a recipient may complete his or her program before all quarterly scholarship disbursements have occurred. Under no circumstance will the recipient be eligible for a cash payment or any other compensation for the value of unused scholarship disbursements.
- Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for other Capella scholarships, grants, or discounts in excess of 15%.
- The scholarship may decrease the amount of funding that can be offered from other sources, such as federal financial aid.
- The scholarship is intended to address the cost of attendance, including but not limited to, tuition. Books, supplies, and other fees apply. Travel expenses for residencies, practicum, etc., are not covered by the scholarship.
- Capella University and its affiliates’ (Strayer University, DevMountain, Hackbright Academy, and Strategic Education, Inc.) faculty and staff, their spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children are not eligible for the scholarship.
