To meet the needs of busy professionals, we offer two competency-based online learning formats—GuidedPath and FlexPath

Credit for professional knowledge

You may be able to earn credit for previous coursework and certifications through our Credit for Prior Learning assessment process.

Generous transfer credits

Bring in over half of your bachelor’s degree through transfer credit and use FlexPath’s self-paced format to quickly finish what you started. At Capella, you may be able to transfer previous college credit to cover up to 75% of select bachelor’s degrees, saving you significant time and money.

*All transfer and CPL credit must be completed prior to starting any program in the FlexPath format. Any professional certification or external courses taken concurrently with FlexPath enrollment cannot be recognized in the Capella degree program.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements vary by program, but generally speaking, the following are required for bachelor’s programs:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transcript of any reported GED.
  • A valid, government-issued form of photo identification
  • English proficiency
  • Minimum GPA requirement for select degree programs
  • A $50 non-refundable application fee. Fee is required to initiate an application for admission and must be paid as part of the application process. The fee covers the cost of transcript requests, transcript evaluation and other administrative costs.
