It is important to understand all educational and individual requirements for licensing. Capella University cannot guarantee licensure, certification, or endorsement. State regulations vary regarding professional licensure. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with requirements for your state. Here are some resources to help you start your research:

Our PhD in Education, Leadership in Educational Administration program is:

  • Designed to prepare learners for a license as a Principal (through the School Leadership emphasis) or Superintendent (through the District Leadership emphasis)
  • 92 quarter credits
  • Accredited by Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)
  • Approved by Minnesota’s Board of School Administrators (BOSA), and Arizona’s Department of Education
