To help you budget, you’ll receive one tuition bill every 12-week billing session. Books, course materials, supplies, equipment and other fees apply.

Capella Tuition Cap
A tuition cap is a limit on how much tuition you’ll pay for your degree. At Capella, our tuition cap is designed to help provide you with education costs that are transparent and affordable. The tuition cap does not apply to books, course materials, supplies, equipment and fees as well as travel expenses for residencies, practicums or internships.

No-cost gen ed courses
Capella students save an average of $8,000 on select bachelor’s degrees by completing no-cost gen ed courses through our affiliate, Sophia Learning.

Frequently asked questions about ways to save on tuition and time
Submit your official transcript from an accredited institution to Capella University for a transfer credit evaluation. Capella will even request your transcripts for you to make the process as easy as possible.
