Capella University earns approved education provider status from NAADAC, the association for addiction professionals

March 7, 2019

Capella University is proud to announce that it has been awarded Approved Education Provider status from NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.

NAADAC is a professional association committed to pursuing excellence in addiction-related care by advocating for high-quality, up-to-date, science-based services for clients, families, and communities. NAADAC’s role in that pursuit focuses on education, clinical training, and certification.

Capella University’s Approved Education Provider status identifies its Master of Science in Addiction Studies and its certificate in Contemporary Theory in Addictive Behavior as meeting the nationally-approved standards of education developed for the addiction counseling profession. That means Capella students in these disciplines know that their contact hours and continuing education (CE) credits are accepted towards NAADAC’s national credentialing, as well as many state licensing and certification groups that specialize in addiction studies and treatment.

The NAADAC designation reflects Capella’s continuing commitment to providing the highest level of education and training in the counseling field.
