Capella University offers a range of support services, and knowing which team handles which concern can save you time. Each team below has a specific purpose, so a message sent to the right place is more likely to get you a prompt and accurate response.
Capella’s student support services are available online through Campus, by email and by toll-free phone at 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552). Check Campus first for resources and answers to many common questions about registration, transcripts, academic support and more. For additional help, connect with the appropriate team below.
Student support associates handle questions about enrollment and registration, courses, access, financial aid, billing and technical problems that are not answered on Campus. When you’re unsure which team to contact, this is the appropriate starting point.
Contact Info when your question does not clearly fall under another office or you have checked Campus and still need assistance.
The Financial Aid Support Team (FAST) helps students explore options for financing their education, including federal loans, federal grants and special aid programs. FAST also handles questions about billing statements and student accounts, which are responsible for tuition and fee billing, employer reimbursement and financial aid disbursements.
Contact FAST when you have questions about financial aid eligibility or options, or if you need clarification on a billing statement.
Students utilizing employer tuition assistance should direct their questions to the Client Success team. This is a separate team from FAST, so employer reimbursement questions are best sent here.
Contact Client Success when you need information about employer tuition reimbursement.
Capella is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities, in keeping with the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Many courses include live web conferencing or student audio and video recordings, so students who need accommodations or alternative communication methods to participate should request accommodations through Disability Services.
Contact Disability Services when you require accommodations or alternative communication methods to take part in coursework or program activities.
The Capella University Library provides online access to full-text articles, citations, abstracts, technical reports and e-books. Students can also request books, article copies and other resources from libraries nationwide. Reference librarians assist with research questions, effective use of library databases and navigation of the library website.
Contact the University Library when you need help locating scholarly sources, using databases or developing a research strategy.
The Ombuds Office is an independent, neutral, informal resource where students can raise systemic concerns and explore standard escalation pathways to bring timely resolution to problems that arise during their academic journeys.
Contact the Ombuds Office when you aren’t sure what standard escalation pathway to initiate or when you would like to discuss a confidential concern.
Students with complaints that have not been resolved through Academic Advising, Enrollment Services, the Financial Aid Support Team, University Operations Support or Technical Support may submit their request to the Office of Academic and Community Standards (OACS).
Contact OACS when you have already pursued the appropriate channels and your concern remains unresolved.
It’s important to note that this is an escalation channel and not meant to be a first point of contact.
