Capella University offers degrees ranging from bachelor’s to doctorates, as well as a number of certificates. But what if you just need one specific class? Capella might be able to help you whether you're looking for undergraduate or graduate courses. We spoke with enrollment specialists Rey Baylen and Terry Metoxen to get their insights into how individual courses work and what you can expect from the experience.
As it turns out, select courses in some Capella programs are available to those seeking just a single course. “We have a wide range of courses to choose from, and many are available to students in a non-degree program.” says Baylen. “Many already have a master’s degree in their field and need to complete content from our courses to help them meet their goals.”
Applying for a single course is an easier process than applying for a degree program – with one important caveat: students who need just one class or want to complete a degree program elsewhere need to plan their strategy before they apply. They need to determine if the credits they could earn at Capella will be accepted by the relevant institution or agency. Metoxen says, “We have three enrollment specialists on staff, all of whom work solely with individual courses, so students with questions or concerns should definitely connect with us.”
