Biography
Dr. Kelly Heenan is an experienced mental health professional and educator with a background that spans private practice, school counseling, military family support and academic leadership. Her career began as a school counselor in both elementary and middle school settings and later as a military family life consultant, supporting service members and their families. Today she brings that clinical and systems perspective to Capella University, where she serves as a professor and academic program director for the Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program. Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Heenan is active in her community through board service with a local nonprofit.
