If you’re an RN with an associate degree, our online RN-to-MSN program can help streamline your path to a master’s degree. If you choose to take the RN-to-MSN route, you’ll receive only an MSN credential at the completion of your program and won’t receive a BSN credential, which some organizations may require. Yes, Capella offers an accelerated BSN (ABSN) pathway for students pursuing the BSN (Prelicensure) program who already have their bachelor’s degree. Talk to an enrollment specialist to find out if you’re eligible.
Designed for individuals who are not yet licensed nurses, a BSN (Prelicensure) program prepares you to take the NCLEX-RN and become registered nurses. An RN-to-BSN program, on the other hand, is designed for licensed RNs who already hold an associate degree or nursing diploma and want to advance their education with a bachelor’s degree.
